This weekend we traveled to the lovely town of Buhler to join in on some small town fun.
First up: Friday night football. Buhler is an undefeated team, so the atmosphere was filled with excitement throughout this close game. To top it off, it was homecoming so a win was necessary. Thankfully, Buhler did end up being victorious.
Our main reason for going, besides to eat some great concession food, and sit out in the beautiful weather, was to see Chris’ sister march in the band. She is a senior (tear, tear, I can not believe that!) and we want to make sure and soak up all of her last high school activities before she graduates.
Here’s Katie marching (this was not a “Katie approved” picture to post, but I’m posting it anyway because I feel it is relevant to what I’m talking about:) The band sounded and looked really wonderful. It was definitely fun to watch.
Corbin loved being at the game with grandma. He was interested in everything around him.
The next day, we again were at Buhler for the frolic! The day started off with a rousing parade and ended with Katie’s performance in Buhler Singers.
I really love small towns. Where else will you find the main street in town blocked off and free of traffic for the whole day and people just wandering around eating, shopping, and watching the local entertainment. What fun!
Here Corbin was intently watching the tractors. He really took everything in at the parade.
The day ended with the Buhler Singers. The group did a great job. Here Katie is singing her stellar solo. She was awesome!
Fun was had by all at the Buhler Frolic.
