Movie Night

The other night we had our first family movie night.  We all sat down and watched Despicable Me, which by the way is a super cute movie!

Corbin laughed almost every time one of these little characters popped up on the screen.

The movie brought out different emotions:

Drama

Close your eyes and belly laugh funny

Suspense

and heartfelt moments.

Overall this movie was two thumbs up, or in Corbin’s case it was a roll on the floor kind of good!

Sunshine Days Are Here Again!

With the return of the sun and warmer weather Corbin and I have been venturing outside for some fun in the sun!

Corbin LOVES being outside. Although we tried playing in the grass for the first time and it was not such a big hit.  He crawled out of the grass and onto the cement as fast as he could.

IMG_2615

“What is this prickly stuff…yuck!”

IMG_2611

“Cement please!”

But what was a big success….a wagon ride!

IMG_2627

“Check out my ride!”

Corbin and I are both excited as spring approaches to have more and more sunny days with warmer weather because we will be having fun in the sun!

High Five

Corbin has been practicing the very important life skill of giving high fives.

IMG_2605

The last few weeks he has mastered the ability; just not always doing it on cue.  He is easily distracted, so if he thinks there is something else that is more worthy of his time then giving you a high five you will be completely ignored in your request.

Here is Corbin’s very impressive high five;)

“It’s done momma.  I’ve given you a high five; you’re thrilled, I’m bored…can I PLEEEASE go now?

10 Months

In honor of Corbin’s 10 month birthday, I have highlighted 10 reasons Corbin smiles because he does that a lot…thank goodness!

IMG_2580

Top 10 Reasons Corbin Smiles:

10) He sees a bottle.

9) Corbin hears the microwave.

8) Food enters his mouth.

IMG_2585

7) He is playing with the doorstop.

6) Corbin is being chased and tackled.

5) Waking up before the sun rises.

4) Music that gets his booty moving.

IMG_2582

3) He hears the bath water running.

2) Mommy or daddy come into view.

And the number one reason Corbin smiles is…

1) He has a poopy diaper.

“Don’t judge my number one reason to smile.  I’m just a baby!”

HAPPY 10 MONTHS CORBIN!

Snow Days

Are the snow days starting to get to you?  Sitting around with nothing to do?

IMG_2553

Well try out some of the Corbin “boredom buster” activities and see if they bring a smidge of sunshine to you on these cold, snowy winter days!

Bubbles in the bathtub?  Why not!  Although what really held Corbin’s attention were not the bubbles that I was diligently blowing, but the bubble and shampoo bottles.  Go figure:)

IMG_2532

Piano lessons can never start too young.  Pull out that ‘80s electric piano and start composing.  Corbin had some beautiful songs.

IMG_2536

How about typing practice?  Technology is very important in our house, and Daddy is all about starting Corbin young.  Right now all Corbin has down is the one-finger hunt-and-peck.

IMG_2548

Finally, throw a dance party!  Turn up the music and start moving!  This is always a crowd pleaser around here.

The Mt. Everest of our House

When you are 9 months old the stairway going up looks as daunting as Mt., Everest.

IMG_2437

But for the last couple of weeks our explorer has been trekking up, all the way to the tippy top.
