I feel like I’m battling to remember that every task, every duty, every job has importance to it. Even if it is a menial task that no one sees or will notice, it can hold importance.
Sometimes I want to only do what I will get noticed for or only the tasks that I deem important. But, God has not called me to just do what I think is valuable or do only what I want to do. My job is to do what God asks of me, regardless of how important I deem the task.
I read a great blog post here: http://lotsofscotts.blogspot.com/ I thought she did a nice job of reminding her readers the importance of doing all tasks not just the “important ones.
