Corbin is enamored with the balance beam at one of the parks that we often play at. However, he can only successfully go across when he’s holding my hand. He doesn’t have the balance yet to do it on his own.
To help Corbin develop this skill I thought we could practice at home. I put down a strip of masking tape on the floor and he now has a “balance beam” that he can safely practice on by himself.
Sometimes he does really well and walks with deep concentration putting one foot in front of the other.
And sometimes he walks with one foot on the line and one foot off.
And yet other times he likes to bend over and then run down the line.
Whichever way he walks the line is fine by me. He’s having fun and really that’s all that matters:)
