A Few of Corbin’s Favorite Things (right now)

Lately Corbin is all about exploring, but when he’s not off and going he has a few toys that really hold his attention:

Activity Table – This table has provided a source of great entertainment for Corbin. Because he loves to stand but can’t keep his balance on his own, this table works as a support while he plays. Oh how he loves to stand and play, but oh how tired are we of listening to the songs it sings.

Basketball Goal – This basketball goal has been entertaining for the whole family. Yes, Chris and I have participated in a few free throw shooting contests and let’s just say the winner does not need to be named. I think we all know who that is… Oh, and Corbin likes it too! Most times when he makes a goal he proceeds to clap for himself and because he looks at me like “why aren’t you clapping too?”, and he looks SO darn cute I end up clapping as well. Yea Corbin! But, once again Momma’s a little tired of the endless clapping…that kid is getting way too good at making goals.

Quiet Book – Oh, the quiet book: how we love thee so. This happens to be Corbin’s constant source of entertainment during church sermons. It will hold his attention and interest for the entire message time, and I think that makes this my MOST favorite thing. Quiet baby in church = happy parents!

Door Stops – Finally, because of Corbin’s increased mobility, toys aren’t always right where he is, but doorstops abound in our house. So when in need of a toy he usually has a doorstop nearby that he LOVES to play with. He can watch that stop “boing” for minutes at a time.

So when the dog bites, or the bee stings or when he’s feeling sad. Corbin simply remembers his favorite things and then he doesn’t feel so bad. (The Sound of Music reference of course! The BEST musical ever, so naturally when I have a title like “favorite things” I could not leave out a reference from where it came:)
