We had another great weekend celebrating fall. This time we traveled up to my parent’s house at the lake.
We made a quick stop on our way to the lake to eat lunch with Aunt Kati. Then we grabbed some chocolates from a local candy shop and continued on our way to the lake. Let me just say the dark chocolate salted caramels may have been the best in my life….so good! What a great way to start a weekend. (I totally forgot to take any pictures until much later into our day
So bummed!)
Once we got to the lake the weather was gorgeous, the leaves were brilliant colors and the company was delightful.
We decorated pumpkins,
went bug hunting,
put together a puzzle,
and even tested out the water. Well, let me clarify that, Corbin tested out the water. We of course were not prepared to be going into the water at the end of October, but it was 85 degrees. Corbin just wanted to see how the water would feel. So like all good moms, I stripped him down to his little superman undies, put on adult sized water shoes (his were at home) and let him romp about in the very chilly water (which he proclaimed as “not too bad”). These are the memories that will be seen during his senior high school slide shows
It was an awesome fall weekend at the lake!
