We had a family reunion to attend this weekend. So on our way there we stopped at Lego Land to check it out for the first time.
There were some amazing “mini” sized landmarks built out of Legos. Of course the baseball and football stadiums were two of the favorites with my family.
“Howdy, Lego Cowgirl!”
Corbin built some type of attack machinery to get the giant spiders that Dad built crawling on the mountain. Oh those boys had fun. I have little Lego creativity so I watched and cheered them on.
Then it was off to the races. Corbin (and Dad) built a race car and tested it out on the track. With a few modifications his race car was really rolling.
Here we are stylin’ in our glasses to watch the 4-D Lego short movie. We felt the wind, the snow, and the rain throughout. We all enjoyed it.
Our time there ended with a ride that took us up to the sky. The faster you pedaled the higher you went, so we pedaled our way up to the top and loved it.
Our time at Lego land ended and we piled back into the car to head to a state park for the family reunion.
The first night we all got into our lodge after supper. So we stayed in and played some rousing rounds of Uno. Let me tell you the boys pummeled me every round. I never won, ever, and I wasn’t trying to let them win, they were just good and I perhaps was not up to their level. Don’t worry, I’ll be back
The next day was full of out door activities from walking, to mini golf, hiking up to an observation tower, playing at the playground, and participating in some intense games of corn hole we spent a full day out and about.
The evening we attended a melodrama, it was Corbin’s first live stage production. The crowd had different sounds to make for each characters and even was asked to throw popcorn at the villain. It was a great way to end the day! (No pictures)
The next morning we got up, some of us earlier than others. Surprisingly, it was Corbin who slept until 8:30. So he was still in his pajamas when we took these pictures. But, once we were all up and around we ate breakfast, hung out, and did the goodbyes and headed for a long trip home.
Here were the kiddos on the trip this year:
This is from 2013 when the girls hadn’t even been born yet.
And here is from 2012:
We had a fun weekend and looking forward to more exciting events this summer. We love summer!
