We started a long weekend at the lake by driving into a nearby town for supper with Aunt Kati and Tim. (Unfortunately, no pictures were taken. It was SO good to see them! We certainly love out Aunt Kati.
The rest of our time was dedicated to the lake. We swam, we ate, we played, we had boat rides, and did water sports.
Scott and Amy added to the festivities by bringing fireworks and water balloons. The boys (both big and small) had fun with those!
One of the highlights of the 4th at the lake is the boat regatta. Basically, it’s a boat parade. The boats are decorated and then driven around the lake. We all sit out on our docks and cheer them on, or throw water balloons if you’re into that tomfoolery:)
The 4th is so fun, festive, and enjoyable at the lake. But hanging out with family makes the lake the most fun for all.
Three cousins in a row
Corbin walking Cousin Cole to the boat.
The boat house decked out for the 4th.
Corbin’s expression…pure joy.
The daylight ‘'kid friendly” fireworks were commencing. We had two curious cousins right up front.
Even though it’s a tad late, the spirit lives on…Happy 4th of July!
