We spent some time with Chris’ brother and his family this weekend. Of course, we have very few photos to show for the weekend, but we had fun.
The kids played at the park, took a walk, blew bubbles, drew with chalk, played…all while the moms supervised and the dads worked on a new sound system for the house.
At the end of our time together we had a little dance party and photo shoot.
“May I have this dance Clara?”
“The waltz is my personal favorite…”
“See Clara, isn’t this fun!”
3 out of 3 are smiling…let’s call that a win! Maybe when they get older we’ll challenge ourselves to call a good picture one that includes everyone looking at the camera AND smiling. It’s good to have goals
“She stepped on my foot AND you’re still taking pictures. I can’t handle the torture!”
When we announced we were finished they could not hold back their joy. Clara did a jig, Collin exhaled a long breath of freedom, and Corbin...well, Corbin did a slam dunk? Went wild like a captive monkey being released into the jungle? I don’t exactly know, but I do know it was pure elation to be done with pictures.
And as you can tell we certainly must have held them there hours working on trying to get that perfect picture as you can see from my examples above.
Exactly, our mere minutes of picture taking resulted in more whines and tears then anything that happened all weekend. Oh my, the power of the iphone camera
Regardless of the picture “session” we had a great time visiting with the family. Corbin loved his cousin time!
